Our German-Style Self-Tapping Window and Door Screws are engineered for the professional installation of window frames, door frames, and sill plates into various substrates including concrete, solid masonry, brick, and steel. Designed following German engineering standards (DIN), these screws eliminate the need for separate wall plugs or anchors—they cut their own thread directly into the pre-drilled pilot hole, providing immediate load-bearing capacity

Key Features & Benefits
No Anchor Needed: Self-tapping thread cuts directly into concrete, brick, or masonry – saves time and cost
Immediate Load Capacity: Full holding power right after installation – no curing time
Tension-Free Fixing: Prevents frame distortion – ideal for PVC and timber frames
Removable & Reusable: Unlike expansion anchors, can be removed without damaging substrate
Fire Resistant: Tested up to 120 minutes for fire-rated assemblies
Corrosion Protected: Yellow zinc or blue passivated finish for indoor/outdoor use
Intended Applications
Window Frame Installation: Wood, PVC (plastic), and aluminum window frames into concrete, solid brick, and masonry
Door Frame Installation: Entrance doors, interior doors, and French windows
Window Sill Attachment: Securing sills to masonry substrates
Frame Coupling: Joining multiple frame sections together
Curtain Wall & Facade: Light-gauge steel and aluminum framing systems
Substrate Compatibility
Substrate | Suitability | Installation Note |
Solid Concrete | ✓ Excellent | Standard hammer drill pilot hole |
Solid Brick | ✓ Excellent | Standard hammer drill pilot hole |
Hollow Block | ✓ Suitable | |
Light Steel | ✓ Suitable | Self-drilling variants available |
Timber | ✓ Suitable | Countersunk head for flush finish |
Installation Guidelines
1.Drill Pilot Hole: Drill hole diameter and depth according to technical specifications. For hollow blocks, use rotary mode only (no hammer action)
2.Clean Hole: Remove dust from hole using blow-out pump or brush
3.Position Frame: Align window/door frame using alignment wedges or spacers
4.Drive Screw: Using appropriate AW or Torx bit, drive screw through frame into pilot hole
5.Set Depth: Drive until head sits flush (countersunk) or until frame is securely clamped (socket head)
6.Verify: Check frame alignment and clamping force
Screw Length Formula: Screw length = Frame thickness + Gap distance + Thread embedment depth
Why Choose Our Window Frame Screw?
Engineered Performance: Based on German (DIN) engineering principles and tested by ift Rosenheim, Europe's leading window technology institute
Time-Saving: Eliminates anchor installation step—screw directly into pre-drilled hole
Professional Results: Tension-free fixing prevents frame distortion common with expansion anchors
Code Compliant: Suitable for fire-rated assemblies (up to 120 min) and safety glazing applications (with appropriate approvals)
Comprehensive Range: Multiple head styles, lengths, and finishes for any frame material
